Before you call
A couple of details make the first phone call much more useful. Tell us what room or part of the property the activity is in, whether you are hearing it or seeing it, and roughly when it started. If you have a photo of the insect, the damage, or the nest, keep it handy; identification changes the treatment and the price more than anything else.
For wildlife calls, the time of day the sounds happen tells us a great deal. Daytime scratching overhead usually means squirrels. Heavy movement after dark usually means raccoons. Fluttering at dusk and dawn usually means bats, which carry seasonal legal restrictions we will explain honestly on the phone.
